About The Position

CPI Electron Device Business (CPI EDB) is a global designer, developer, and manufacturer of electronic components and subsystems serving radar, defense, industrial, and scientific markets. The Mechanical Engineering Co-Op provides technical support to mechanical engineering and RF assembly production. Work includes designing fixtures for assembly and testing, updating assembly process documentation, and assisting with process development and standardization through experimentation and analysis. The co-op will support root-cause investigations, corrective actions, and manufacturing-yield tracking; assist development engineering with SolidWorks models and analysis; and help build engineering and production assemblies.

The posting describes the co-op period as “January 2027 - June 2026.”

Requirements

• Be at least a sophomore pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering (BSME).
• Laboratory experience.
• 3D modeling experience.
• U.S. citizenship and ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Department of Defense security clearance.

• Familiarity with GD&T and mechanical drawings.

Responsibilities
