About The Position
Our site in San Luis Obispo, CA is seeking a Mechanical Engineering Co-Op to join our team for the Spring 2027 season. This assignment is intended to be a full-time 6 months in duration, beginning in January. In this role, you will support the design, development, and testing of advanced gas purification systems. Working closely with senior engineers, you will contribute to the creation of mechanical components and assemblies, assist in CAD modeling, perform basic fluid and thermal analyses, and help prepare documentation for prototypes and production.
Requirements
- Mechanical Engineering major
- Familiarity with CAD tools (e.g. SolidWorks)
- Basic understanding of fluid mechanics and materials science
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
- Must be a currently enrolled student
- Available to work 40 hours a week, M-F (8a-5p) beginning in January through June
- Must be familiar with the university’s requirements to participate in a co-op program

Benefits
- Compensation: $20-$30/hour range with actual pay dependent on candidate overall skills for the role
