About The Position

Bracco Medical Technologies is seeking co-op candidates to engage in a variety of hands-on projects alongside their Operations team. This Manufacturing Engineering Co-op role is a hands-on engineering position that supports the manufacturing of medical device capital equipment. Students will investigate production failures, work with cross-functional teams to disposition non-conforming material, and implement lean processes and assembly tools/fixtures to improve efficiency. Students will be exposed to various operations and product development departments within Bracco Medical Technologies (BMT), learning key requirements for a regulated environment like the medical device industry. Co-ops benefit from a buddy program, career development programming, and networking opportunities.

Requirements

Undergraduate students enrolled in a manufacturing, Industrial, mechanical, electrical, or biomedical engineering four-year degree program entering their third year.

Responsibilities

Assist in the design, development, and improvement of manufacturing processes for medical device systems.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and implement process enhancements, cost-saving initiatives, and quality improvements.
Participate in root cause analysis and problem-solving efforts to address manufacturing issues.
Execute and support continuous improvement projects to optimize overall manufacturing performance and reduce waste.
Assist in the creation and maintenance of manufacturing documentation, including work instructions and standard operating procedures.
Collaborate with the engineering team to design, fabricate and implement manufacturing assembly aids and test fixtures.
Contribute to the development and execution of process validation and verification activities.
