The Mechanical Engineering Assistant will assist the Mechanical Engineering team in a short term, temporary capacity with mechanical design work, modeling, analysis, testing, validation, materials selection, manufacturing readiness, documentation, and product reliability.

Requirements

Enrollment in accredited Engineering program, pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing or Civil Engineering
Classroom experience with CAD software, preferably SolidWorks
Excellent attention to detail
Must be a team player
Strong oral communication skills
Excellent time-management skills
Team player, with patience and skill to train and mentor others
Proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
Must be authorized to work in the United States

Responsibilities

Complete mechanical design and drawing responsibilities or engineering changes
Provide daily support to mechanical engineering team, as required/necessary
Convert 2D AutoCAD drawings to SolidWorks drawings and 3D models, both parts and assemblies
Perform related duties as assigned by Supervisor
Maintain compliance with all company policies and procedures
