About The Position

Kimley-Horn is hiring a Mechanical Engineering graduate to join its Natural Gas team in the Greenwood Village, Colorado office. This is not a remote position. The role supports mechanical engineering projects by using technical software to analyze work and produce and quality-check client deliverables. The analyst will help solve complex problems, assist project managers, collaborate across disciplines, and develop familiarity with applicable regulations and company and client practices, procedures, and standards.

The Mechanical team works on projects including transmission and distribution pipeline design, metering and regulation stations, remote valve sites, regulatory compliance, natural gas generation and power plant design, and process control design and integration.

Requirements

• An ABET-accredited bachelor's or master's degree in Mechanical Engineering by Summer 2027.

Responsibilities

• Use technical software programs regularly to analyze, produce, and quality-check client deliverables.
• Solve complex problems, assist project managers, and collaborate across disciplines to support clients’ visions for the future built environment.
• Develop familiarity with federal, state, and local regulations, as well as Kimley-Horn’s and clients’ practices, procedures, and standards.
• Perform general mechanical engineering tasks supporting various project managers as required.
