About The Position

This position is responsible for conceptualizing and designing products in accordance with company goals and objectives in a timely and cost-effective manner. This role will also develop, manage, and maintain existing and new controllers for internal production equipment and customer projects. The Mechanical Engineer will cooperate with sales and manufacturing to ensure project efficiency and on-time delivery, develop and contribute to new technologies, systems, tools, and automation, and assist with manufacturing and development processes. Key responsibilities also include managing integrated CNC programming software, providing support for tooling, fixtures, and robotic processes, and recommending methods for improving worker efficiency and reducing waste. The role involves assisting sales and marketing with presentations and advertising literature, coordinating third-party product testing, and designing test methods for product quality analysis. Additionally, the engineer will identify cost-saving methods applicable to manufacturing, production, and assembly.

  • Ability to utilize CAD and operate, SolidWorks, Mastercam, and AutoCAD software.
  • Able to create a clear vision and think strategically.
  • Proven ability to influence people and teams to achieve successful results.
  • Exhibits high credibility and trustworthiness to co-workers, customers and to the company.
  • Consistent decision making with an ability to define, improve, and organize people around process.
  • Strong project management, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Equivalent of high school diploma or G.E.D. certification.
  • Previous related experience.
  • B.S. Engineering or related field.

Responsibilities

  • Cooperate with sales and manufacturing to ensure efficiency and productivity of projects and to achieve on-time delivery for any and all projects.
  • Develop and contribute to new technologies, systems, tools, and automation that will enhance the company’s growth and capability.
  • Assist and cooperate with the manufacturing and development process necessary to produce, enhance, or improve products.
  • Responsible for internal aptitude of integrated CNC programming software.
  • Provide support for tooling, fixtures, and robotic processes.
  • Recommend methods for improving worker efficiency and reducing waste of materials and utilities.
  • Assist sales and marketing in presentations, as well as promotions, and the preparation of advertising literature.
  • Assist and/or coordinate third party independent testing of products.
  • Research and design test methods with written procedures to demonstrate product quality when required for both process testing and final product quality analysis.
  • Identify cost saving methods which would be applied to manufacturing, production, and/or assembly of products.
  • Conduct himself/herself in a professional matter in accordance with company guidelines.
  • Adhere to all company standards and policies.
  • Maintain a clean and orderly work area.
