About The Position

As a world leader in creating comfortable, sustainable, and efficient climate solutions for buildings, homes, and transportation, Trane Technologies is seeking a dynamic engineer to join its team and help define and shape a new segment of its engineering organization focused on high-tech vertical growth markets like AI and data centers. The Design to Order (DTO) team transforms high-tech customer requests into unique, customized solutions. The engineer will play a critical role in managing designs essential to winning in the AI and data center sectors, acting as an engineering design leader or electrical design engineer. This role requires adaptability in a dynamic environment where requirements can change often to meet specific customer needs.

Requirements

Ability to read and interpret codes required.
10% domestic travel

Nice To Haves

Some electrical design would be a plus.
Knowledge of ETL and UL 60335-2-40 preferred.

Responsibilities

Create or solution unique mechanical designs for the Chiller to meet the customer request.
Help with updates to ETL files needed for UL compliance.
Work with cross-functional teams to ensure the availability of special parts, processes, and designs for unique projects.
Update and create unique technical documents to accompany chillers at the time of shipment.
Actively participate in initial DTO builds as needed.
