About The Position

Requirements

5+ years of experience in mechanical design and analysis
BS or MS in Mechanical Engineering or similar experience
US Citizen, eligible for a US Government security clearance
Able to work onsite at our Springville, Utah facility
Engineering Design and Change Process experience (PDR, CDR, TRR)
Heat transfer, fluid dynamics, structural, or vibration analyses
Proficiency in CAD, including part modeling, assembly design, and drawing creation

Nice To Haves

Experience with Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T)
Experience with environmental performance requirements and testing in accordance with standards such as MIL-STD-810
Familiarity with various manufacturing processes (e.g., machining, 3D printing, composites)
Experience in a AS9100/ISO9001 quality management environment

Responsibilities

Mechanical component and assembly design, including detailed analyses such as heat transfer, vibration and shock analysis
Create and sustain design documentation, including part/assembly drawings and bills of materials
Lead and participate in Design Reviews for projects with internal and external stake holders
Support product sustainment efforts with our Engineering Change Process
Design and support testing of radar systems to ensure compliance to requirements
Collaborate with IMSAR's Manufacturing teams to support production of quality radar systems
Operate with minimal oversight while taking the lead on projects when needed
Mentor fellow engineers and contribute expertise
