Requirements

Minimum of a BS in Mechanical Engineering.
Have taken or plan to take the Fundamentals of Engineering exam.
Desire to obtain a PE license.
Exhibit excellent problem-solving skills, able to find creative, innovative solutions to challenges.

Nice To Haves

A Professional Engineering license is expected once the required years of experience have been obtained.

Responsibilities

Develop and sustain relationships with in-house teams and contractors.
Provide technical solutions through design and consulting services that address facility manager and/or owner requirements.
Work with other building engineering staff to efficiently develop building HVAC, Plumbing, and Fire Protection system designs.
Coordinate with Project Managers, Architects, Engineers, and Designers from other disciplines to coordinate system designs.
Create 3-D Revit models and produce construction documents of building HVAC, Plumbing, and Fire Protection systems.
Clearly communicate design recommendations to clients, project teams, construction contractors, and vendors in presentations, meetings, via email, and phone.
Work independently or as part of a team on projects with other technical staff to develop necessary mechanical systems designs, ensuring accuracy, coordination, and adherence to quality assurance measures.
Provide timely services that meet client needs and overall project schedule requirements.
Efficiently produce project 3-D Revit models and construction documents of building mechanical systems within a project team.
Back-check own work to assure accuracy.
Implement and utilize project-specific model and drawing standards.
Effectively coordinate work with other project team members.
Participate in mechanical department standard development and maintenance.
Assist the work of other engineers and designers as a design engineer to generate project deliverables.
