Mechanical Engineer 4

Lam Research•Fremont, CA
•$104,000 - $231,000

About The Position

As a Mechanical Engineer in Lam Research’s Global Products Group, you will design and define mechanical and electro-mechanical systems for etch and deposition products. You will support the full system lifecycle, from concept through productization, including conceptualization, design, CAD modeling, development, and testing and validation. The role includes conducting feasibility studies, testing, and guiding teams through detailed design and fabrication, while providing design information that shapes technology packaging. You will design components from a range of materials, perform engineering analyses, and ensure documentation follows SEMI and Lam standards as well as industry best practices for geometric dimensioning and tolerancing. You will communicate design intent and validation results through reports, presentations, and design reviews, and work with suppliers and internal teams to develop manufacturable, high-quality, cost-optimized solutions. You will also provide technical guidance and mentoring to junior engineers.
