About The Position

We are seeking a highly experienced Mechanical Engineer with a minimum of 10 years of experience in HVAC and/or Plumbing Building Systems Design, specifically within MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing) Engineering. The ideal candidate will possess a PE Licensure and be ready to immediately contribute to the design aspects of assigned projects. This role requires a strong understanding of Mechanical Engineering principles and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced department. Proficiency in Revit is mandatory, and knowledge of AutoCAD MEP is a plus. We are looking for a self-motivated individual with a quick learning ability, a willingness to accept responsibilities, and an eagerness to take on new challenges.

Requirements

Minimum of 10 years’ experience in HVAC and/or Plumbing Building Systems Design.
Experience must be in the field of MEP (Mechanical, Electrical and Plumbing) Engineering.
PE Licensure is required.
Must have working knowledge of Revit.
Self-motivated, ability to learn quickly, accept responsibilities and take on new challenges as presented.

Nice To Haves

AutoCAD MEP is a plus.

Responsibilities

Attend Kick-off meetings with design team, clients and owner to develop a scope of work for project.
Perform Site visits to determine existing conditions and document all associated systems included in scope of work.
Provide project management from project kickoff thru construction administration, as needed.
Convey all information to internal stakeholders for submissions on all design deliverables.
Must have a thorough knowledge of applicable building codes.
Must be able to provide consultation on mechanical equipment room sizes during the appropriate design stage.
Must be able to produce & review HVAC Load & Energy calculations.
Understands and applies concepts of hydronic variable & constant flow systems.
Must be able to design HVAC ductwork layouts, ductwork sizing and specify required equipment.
QA/QC reviews of all calculations by Designers, and provide guidance and mentoring.
Respond to RFIs for the project, accurately review submittals, and solve installation issues as needed during construction.
