About The Position

Peterbilt Motors Company, a PACCAR company, is seeking a Mechanical Engineer for its Outer body and Aerodynamics team in Denton, Texas. The role covers concept development, final design development, validation planning, testing support, and launching designs into production. Projects include aesthetic outerbody and aerodynamic components that promote the image of Peterbilt and other PACCAR brands, as well as structural components used to mount outerbody components to the truck. The position works with PACCAR engineering teams and partners in Styling, Marketing, and Sales, and may require up to 10% travel.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
At least 6 years of related experience.

Nice To Haves

3D CAD modeling skills; CREO experience is a plus.
Competency in Microsoft Office.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to handle multiple tasks.

Experience with Finite Element Analysis (FEA).

Responsibilities

Develop concepts and final designs for outerbody and aerodynamic components.
Develop structural components to mount outerbody components to the truck.
Plan validation, support testing, and launch designs into production.
Coordinate regularly with PACCAR engineering teams, Styling, Marketing, and Sales during development.
Act professionally in contacts with internal and external customers.
