About The Position
PRO-Telligent, A Tetra Tech Company, is seeking a Mechanical Engineer for the construction of the New US Embassy Compound (NEC) in Ashgabat, Turkmenistan. This role involves providing critical engineering, construction quality assurance, and technical oversight for the project, which includes a 6-story New Office Building (NOB), 2 Compound Access Control Facilities (CACs), and site development. The position requires a US Government Secret Security Clearance or higher and a minimum commitment of 12 to 18 months. Housing and transportation allowances are provided, along with a 25% base salary uplift and 25% COLA.
Requirements
- US Govt. Secret Clearance or higher
- US Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering OR Current US PE license can substitute for degree
- 7 years construction experience
- ABET accredited (not equivalent) international degree accepted in lieu of US Bachelor’s or US PE
Responsibilities
- Provide DOS/OBO with a full range of critical engineering, construction quality assurance, and technical oversight.
- Perform technical inspections of mechanical work.
- Monitor construction contractor's quality control program.
- Review project drawings to ensure compliance.
- Observe on-site construction and determine if construction elements are being installed, formed, and executed properly.
- Monitor construction progress with regard to project schedule.
- Submit weekly progress reports with recommendations based on technical review of project documents and field inspections.
