About The Position

Join Beaver Aerospace & Defense as a Mechanical/Manufacturing Engineer. Use your expertise to design & optimize processes, drive quality, and support groundbreaking aerospace solutions for the ICBM (Intercontinental Ballistic Missile) program in a dynamic, collaborative environment. Movement through industrial or manufacturing areas is always required along with the use of appropriate personal protective wear and consistent observance of established safety policies.

Requirements

  • Deep understanding of manufacturing engineering principles, process optimization, and quality systems
  • Proficiency in data analysis, cost estimation, and resource planning
  • Expertise with MS Office, and AutoCAD or similar CAD software
  • Experience with change management, technical documentation, and continuous improvement initiatives
  • Strong communication skills for interfacing with vendors, customers, and internal teams
  • Analytical and critical thinking for process evaluation and improvement.
  • Organizational skills to manage multiple projects and priorities
  • Ability to interpret and apply technical documentation and engineering data.
  • Collaboration skills across functional and hierarchical levels
  • Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering (or related field)
  • Five years’ experience in industrial or manufacturing engineering
  • Proficient in computer-based systems: MS Office, SolidWorks, AutoCAD
  • Legal authorization to work in the United States without sponsorship

Responsibilities

  • Analyze product specifications and translate into manufacturing and quality objectives
  • Design, develop, and refine manufacturing methods to ensure optimal resource utilization, quality, and efficiency
  • Generate drawings & releases
  • Recommend enhancements to processes, resource allocation, and workflows to maximize production output
  • Initiate and manage engineering changes; ensure accurate and current documentation
  • Collaborate daily with internal teams to address production and repair activities
  • Resolving production issues by working with cross-functional engineering teams, focusing on reliability and cost efficiency
  • Interface with vendors, management, and customers regarding specifications, technical issues, and project status
  • Design and improve factory layouts using CAD and simulation tools to streamline operations
  • Review production schedules and engineering data to align processes with organizational targets
  • Estimate costs and evaluate design change impacts, supporting strategic management initiatives
  • Implement procedures for handling non-conforming or defective materials; manage associated cost accountability
  • Communicate directly with customers on technical concerns and recommend solutions
  • Create Visual Work Instruction (VWI) using latest technologies
