About The Position

Mycronic is seeking a Mechanical Engineer to join their Global Technologies division, specifically within the Applied Plasma business line (Surfx Technologies). This role involves contributing to the design, prototyping, testing, and optimization of complex electromechanical systems for atmospheric argon plasma machines used in microelectronic device manufacturing. The ideal candidate is a hands-on engineer eager to solve real-world problems with cutting-edge technology in a dynamic hardware development and manufacturing environment.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's in Mechanical Engineering
  • 0 – 3 years' experience
  • Skilled in communication through global time zones
  • Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis

Responsibilities

  • Communicate clear project status at every stage from PO entry to arrival at customer dock
  • Experienced with software design and 3D CAD models
  • Generate accurate 2D manufacturing drawings complete with dimensions, materials specifications, and geometric dimensioning
  • Setting up physical tests (thermal, structural) to ensure success under real world conditions
  • Build and maintain accurate Bills of Materials (BOMs)
  • Execute Engineering Change Orders (ECOs) to support continuous product improvements
