About The Position

CMTA, a Legence company, is seeking an entry-level Mechanical Engineer for its Energy Solutions division. This role supports all aspects of performance contracts for clients, from conception to completion. The successful candidate will be a self-motivated individual with a technical background in HVAC design and commissioning, capable of leading all phases of work. In addition to technical skills, this role involves developing new opportunities, presenting to clients, and contributing to CMTA’s culture. The Energy Solutions division is the fastest growing part of the company.

Requirements

  • Minimum 0-3 years of experience with an Energy Services company OR a consulting engineering/commissioning firm is preferred.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or similar discipline
  • Candidates must have current work authorization in the U.S.; visa sponsorship is not available for this position.

Responsibilities

  • Help develop and present project opportunities to potential clients
  • Support client meetings, industry events, and proposal development
  • Project development including site visits, audits, and energy calculations
  • Engineering design review of drawings and specifications
  • Support the bidding process to ensure quality and competitive outcomes
  • Help facilitate the contract administration process
  • Work with the construction manager to ensure a smooth construction period
  • Commission installed systems to validate performance
  • Support the client through the warranty phase as needed
  • Work with our Measurement & Verification (M&V) professional to develop M&V reports
