About The Position

The engineer will be researching configuration impacts of modifications to F-16 aircraft using Lockheed Martin’s engineering databases (Parts Warehouse, Aerospace Consolidated Engineering (ACE), Electronic Document Management System (EDMS), etc.) to determine current configuration, effectivity, and next higher assembly for applicable drawings. Work will be performed on-site at Hill AFB, Utah. The engineer will also do the following: Work with mechanical detail, assembly, and installation drawings. Must be able to understand and create engineering application lists, parts lists, drawing notes, service data notes, parts list notes, and usage flags. Create Engineering Change Notices (ECNs) using Asset Design Management System (ADMS) and engineering drawings using CATIA V5. Use and modify mechanical/structural, electrical, and harness installation, harness assembly, and altered item drawings. Interact with government and other contract engineers to understand design changes.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or 3 years of professional experience with aircraft mechanical engineering
  • Must be a US citizen
  • Ability to work remotely
  • This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience interpreting engineering drawings, especially F-16
  • Experience with CATIA v5 or other CAD program.
  • Experience creating engineering change notices (ECNs)
  • Familiarity with the Asset Design Management System (ADMS)
  • Understanding of the government organic configuration change process from boarding and approval through validation and verification

Responsibilities
