We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Mechanical Engineer to join our Engineering team. This role is ideal for an early-career engineer looking to apply their technical knowledge in a practical, hands-on environment while developing expertise in crane engineering, mechanical systems, and structural design. As a Mechanical Engineer, you will support the design, analysis, testing, and continuous improvement of mechanical components and lifting systems. Working closely with Engineering, Operations, and Manufacturing teams, you will contribute to delivering safe, reliable, and innovative engineering solutions for our customers.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related engineering discipline.
  • 1–2 years of relevant mechanical engineering experience (industrial, manufacturing, heavy equipment, or lifting equipment experience is advantageous).
  • Experience using SolidWorks for 3D modeling and technical drawing creation.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Project.
  • Familiarity with engineering calculations, mechanical design principles, and manufacturing processes.
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, P&IDs, and technical documentation.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with structural analysis or crane engineering is desirable but not essential.

Responsibilities

  • Interpret and analyze technical drawings, engineering schematics, and Piping & Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs).
  • Design, develop, and produce detailed 3D models and manufacturing drawings of mechanical components and systems using SolidWorks.
  • Apply engineering principles to evaluate existing processes and develop practical engineering solutions.
  • Perform engineering calculations, including: Mechanical and structural stress analysis, Crane derating calculations, Limits, fits, and tolerances.
  • Develop and review proof load test plans, engineering documentation, and schematic drawings.
  • Collaborate with engineers, operations personnel, and manufacturing teams to implement engineering solutions, troubleshoot equipment issues, and improve operational performance.
  • Support Engineering and Operations in researching, evaluating, and implementing new technologies and design improvements.
  • Recommend engineering modifications to improve equipment reliability, safety, and performance.
  • Verify the accuracy of machined components and repair work using precision measuring instruments such as micrometers, calipers, and other inspection tools.
  • Maintain accurate engineering documentation and ensure compliance with applicable engineering standards and safety requirements.
