About The Position

As a Mechanical Engineer within Compression Module Engineering, you will play a pivotal role in the research, development, and qualification of our next-generation positive displacement compressor technologies (Reciprocating, Rotary and Screw). Working within a dynamic R&D environment, you will collaborate closely with senior engineers, laboratory technicians, and cross-functional global teams to drive the design, development, and validation of critical components, ensuring their reliability and performance. From initial concept through to production, you will leverage advanced engineering tools, simulation, and hands-on laboratory testing to optimize product quality and robustness. This position is ideal for a proactive, results-driven engineer who is eager to quickly master new technologies, bridge the gap between design and testing, and make a tangible impact on global compression solutions.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering
  • 2+ years of experience in compressor design, analysis, testing, or product development
  • Must be open to traveling domestically & internationally up to 10% of the time
  • Must have unrestricted authorization to work in the USA. No visa sponsoring available.

  • Master’s degree
  • Expertise or demonstrated ability with CAD, 2D drawing (GD&T), and 3D modeling software
  • Thermodynamics, Fluid Mechanics, Engineering Computational Tools and CAD coursework (previous Internship experience within these fields)
  • Knowledge of mechanical design, troubleshooting and manufacturing processes
  • Self-driven and proactive with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities
  • Strong organizational, analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Demonstrated team player and willing to collaborate with others on projects

Responsibilities

  • Apply engineering software such as Cero and Ansys, CFX for CAD modeling and simulation for design, modification, and assembly of compressor structure
  • Mechanical design and analysis of components such as screw rotors, rolling element bearings, shaft seals, pistons, and pressure containing machined castings
  • Perform Vapor-cycle refrigeration thermodynamic analysis
  • Ability to work closely with designers/drafters & participate in drawing reviews
  • Ability to work closely with lab personnel to develop & execute laboratory test plans
  • Document design and development procedures in Engineering Standard Work
  • Coordination of component, procurement, inventory and build for first prototype, qualification samples and customer samples
  • Prepare and present project status reports within a group setting or directly to management
  • Utilize AI tools and techniques to drive process optimization and improve operational efficiency
  • Assist in troubleshooting compressor performance and field issues
