About The Position
This team is looking for a Mechanical Design Engineer for our Winston-Salem Seating Group. Conducts product development activities and studies, analyzes tests, and produces sketches, parts, and designs, following all appropriate Mechanical Engineering design, safety, and qualification standards. This role is onsite, in Winston Salem, North Carolina. This role may be eligible for relocation.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) obtained prior to start.
- Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship now or in the future. RTX will not offer sponsorship for this position.
- Experience may be obtained through on-the-job experience, research, coursework, or projects.
Nice To Haves
- Experience in NX / Teamcenter PLM (or other CAD modeling platform).
- Demonstrates good communication.
- Works well in a team and learns quickly.
Responsibilities
- Participate in product development activities, including but not limited to engineering studies, implementation of standard and non-standard specifications, design of parts and validation through testing while considering weight, manufacturability and servicing.
- Develop data and make layouts, sketches and notes necessary to present design proposals to staff and engineering management.
- Resolve design problems of simple scope to ensure project completion.
- Support Project Engineers in deliverables for Main Cabin products.
