About The Position

This team is looking for a Mechanical Design Engineer for our Winston-Salem Seating Group. Conducts product development activities and studies, analyzes tests, and produces sketches, parts, and designs, following all appropriate Mechanical Engineering design, safety, and qualification standards. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) obtained prior to start.
  • Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship now or in the future. RTX will not offer sponsorship for this position.
  • Experience may be obtained through on-the-job experience, research, coursework, or projects.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in NX / Teamcenter PLM (or other CAD modeling platform).
  • Demonstrates good communication.
  • Works well in a team and learns quickly.

Responsibilities

  • Participate in product development activities, including but not limited to engineering studies, implementation of standard and non-standard specifications, design of parts and validation through testing while considering weight, manufacturability and servicing.
  • Develop data and make layouts, sketches and notes necessary to present design proposals to staff and engineering management.
  • Resolve design problems of simple scope to ensure project completion.
  • Support Project Engineers in deliverables for Main Cabin products.
