About The Position

PegasusTSI is hiring an early-career Mechanical Engineer. The role works under the direct supervision of a Senior Mechanical or Piping Engineer and is based in Tampa, Florida. The company offers a hybrid work schedule, but the position also requires onsite work in the office. The engineer will support projects for clients in industrial sectors including oil refining, petrochemical, fertilizer, chemical, pharmaceutical, municipal, consumer products, and industrial facilities.

Requirements

• Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering, with studies in Industrial Equipment, Piping Systems, and Hydraulics.
• Ability to obtain an Engineer in Training (EIT) licensure.
• At least 1 year of experience.
• Basic AutoCAD drafting knowledge.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. without company sponsorship, now or in the future.

Responsibilities

• Prepare design drawings of mechanical equipment.
• Review codes and standards for technical compliance.
• Prepare technical specifications.
• Perform calculations.
• Attend client meetings and site visits in industrial environments.
