About The Position
Trane Technologies is seeking a dynamic engineer to join their team and help define and shape a new segment of their engineering organization focused on high-tech vertical growth markets, specifically AI and data centers. As a Design to Order (DTO) Engineer, you will play a critical role in the success of this new team, managing designs essential to winning in these sectors. This is a unique opportunity to be part of a pioneering team and contribute to the growth and success of the organization. The ideal candidate will act as an engineering design leader or an electrical design engineer, capable of working in a role where requirements and direction can change often to meet specific customer needs. The DTO team focuses on transforming high-tech customer requests into reality by providing unique, customized solutions tailored to individual customer needs.
Requirements
- Ability to act as an engineering design leader or function as an electrical design engineer.
- Ability to work in a role where requirements and direction can change often.
- Knowledge of ETL and UL 60335-2-40 preferred.
- Ability to read and interpret codes required.
Nice To Haves
- Some electrical design experience would be a plus.
Responsibilities
- Create or solution unique mechanical designs for the Chiller to meet the customer request.
- Help with updates to ETL files needed for UL compliance.
- Work with cross-functional teams to ensure the availability of special parts, processes, and designs for unique projects.
- Update and create unique technical documents to accompany chillers at the time of shipment.
- Actively participate in initial DTO builds as needed.
