About The Position

Cleaver Brooks is looking for a Mechanical Engineer to join our team in Monroe, WI. The job title is responsible for performing a variety of engineering assignments designing and developing burner and boiler-related equipment, using CAD/CAM software (e.g., AutoCAD, Inventor) that exceeds customers’ needs and expectations, following established policies and procedures. This role will be responsible for technical knowledge related to assigned products, communicating this to other departments, and for providing required technical support. In addition to technical product knowledge and support, this role will also analyze and evaluate any issues with current products to develop effective solutions. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering
  • One year of experience in product engineering is preferred but would be willing to train the right candidate.
  • Combustion/burner experience is highly preferred.
  • CAD/CAM software (e.g., AutoCAD, Inventor)

Responsibilities

  • Analyze testing results, operations data, and other issues, identifying the root cause of the issue and recommending solutions to ensure equipment availability and reliability.
  • Communicate issues concerning component production and operations to management, clarify field issues with operations personnel.
  • Effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the public.
  • Translate technical guidance from senior engineers or engineering management into usable engineering data applicable to assigned product(s).
  • Communicate technical information and direction to other internal departments as required.
  • Design and build complex pieces of equipment and machinery, often developing innovative approaches and solutions to projects and issues.
  • Initiate or direct changes to products, procedures, or specifications as directed by senior engineers or engineering management.
  • Make recommendations as necessary.
  • Work across departments within their organization as well as establishing and maintaining relationships with customers and suppliers.
  • Understand the principles of calculus, trigonometry, and other advanced topics in mathematics for analysis, design, and troubleshooting in their work.
  • Apply basic engineering concepts and mechanical processes to the design of new devices.
  • Identify issues, analyze data and other relevant information, and develop solutions to problems.
  • Minimize the impact of solutions on project budgets, timelines, production, or operational capabilities.
