About The Position
The Mechanical Engineer will be responsible for supporting the design efforts in a wide variety of market sectors with a specific focus on industrial projects such as Semiconductor Manufacturing, Data Centers, and other Advanced Manufacturing projects. The ideal candidate may work under the direction of a Senior Engineer in a cross-discipline team including architects, other engineering disciplines, contractors, and clients.
Requirements
- Developing knowledge of mechanical systems design
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office products including Outlook, Word, and Excel
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or Architectural Engineering
- 6+ years of experience as a Mechanical Engineer in an engineering consulting firm or similarly related industry
- Professional Engineering license required
Nice To Haves
- Working knowledge of Revit, AutoCAD, and Navisworks
- Prior knowledge of software tools such as IES, Pipe-Flo, Rhor2, and 6SigmaRoom is a plus but not required
Responsibilities
- Mechanical Engineering systems and components such as pumps, coils, heat exchangers, and fans
- Heating/Cooling loads calculations
- HVAC equipment selections
- Air and water plant distribution piping and ductwork sizing
- Ventilation calculations
- Pipe stress analysis calculations
- CFD analysis calculations
- Creation of drawings and specifications
- Participating in site walks
- Code analysis
- Project meetings as required
