Requirements

  • BS/MS Mechanical Engineering with 10 to 15 years of experience in power generation.
  • Ability to understand operation and functions of the power generator.
  • Ability to navigate component and assembly drawings and identify parts in a bill of material (BOM).
  • Ability to interpret Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T).
  • Strong analytical, experimental, and statistical aptitude.
  • Ability to do operations with Microsoft office tools like Excel, PowerPoint.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to be a cross-functional team leader with good interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

  • Design Generator components, and support drawing and assembly BOM updates.
  • Interface with manufacturing and sourcing to assist in Non-Conformance Requests (NCRs) and Supplier Deviation Requests (SDRs).
  • Perform updates to design documentation and instructions.
  • Develop mechanical solutions, including design calculations, to meet stator product and service needs.
  • Develop mechanical and testing plans for stator components and assemblies, and oversee or perform actual tests as needed in conjunction with lab. Interpret test results and recommend appropriate actions.
  • Work on RCA investigations for performance and warranty issues on generator stator components.
  • Navigate component and assembly drawings and identify parts in a bill of material (BOM).
  • Interpret Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T).
  • Utilize 3D models and finite element analysis (ANSYS Workbench).
  • Utilize PLM for change issues.
  • Coordinate with Leads, SMEs, Chief, and CADD engineers on activities completion.
  • Provide weekly summary status reports with tasks status.
  • Manage project tasks, deliverables, and financials.
