Requirements

BS/MS Mechanical Engineering with 10 to 15 years of experience in power generation.
Ability to understand operation and functions of the power generator.
Ability to navigate component and assembly drawings and identify parts in a bill of material (BOM).
Ability to interpret Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T).
Strong analytical, experimental, and statistical aptitude.
Ability to do operations with Microsoft office tools like Excel, PowerPoint.
Strong attention to detail.
Ability to be a cross-functional team leader with good interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

Design Generator components, and support drawing and assembly BOM updates.
Interface with manufacturing and sourcing to assist in Non-Conformance Requests (NCRs) and Supplier Deviation Requests (SDRs).
Perform updates to design documentation and instructions.
Develop mechanical solutions, including design calculations, to meet stator product and service needs.
Develop mechanical and testing plans for stator components and assemblies, and oversee or perform actual tests as needed in conjunction with lab. Interpret test results and recommend appropriate actions.
Work on RCA investigations for performance and warranty issues on generator stator components.
Navigate component and assembly drawings and identify parts in a bill of material (BOM).
Interpret Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T).
Utilize 3D models and finite element analysis (ANSYS Workbench).
Utilize PLM for change issues.
Coordinate with Leads, SMEs, Chief, and CADD engineers on activities completion.
Provide weekly summary status reports with tasks status.
Manage project tasks, deliverables, and financials.
