About The Position

Verdantas is seeking a Mechanical Engineer Intern for Summer 2027 at its Holden, Massachusetts office. The internship offers hands-on exposure to engineering projects, including problem-solving, design, and development, with mentorship from experienced professionals. The intern will support mechanical systems and infrastructure projects and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams in a people-focused environment committed to sustainable engineering.

Requirements

Currently pursuing a bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related engineering discipline.
Strong academic record and interest in mechanical systems design.
Experience with Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
Willingness to learn, take initiative, and contribute to a variety of projects.

Nice To Haves

Familiarity with AutoCAD, Revit, SolidWorks, or similar engineering software.
Valid driver's license.

Responsibilities

Assist engineers with the design and development of mechanical systems and infrastructure projects.
Support preparation of engineering calculations, technical reports, and construction documents.
Use AutoCAD, Revit, and other engineering software to assist with designs and project deliverables.
Participate in field investigations, site visits, inspections, and data collection activities.
Review plans, specifications, and engineering drawings for accuracy and completeness.
Conduct research and analysis to support project planning and execution.
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including electrical, structural, civil, and environmental professionals.
Assist with project documentation, scheduling, and other engineering support tasks.
Perform miscellaneous assignments as needed to support project and team objectives.
