About The Position

Provide advanced mechanical engineering support in the design, development, testing, and sustainment of complex DoD munition systems and associated technologies. Lead the design, fabrication, modification, and evaluation of intricate mechanical and electromechanical components, subsystems, and systems. Develop detailed design specifications, conduct or oversee in-depth analyses, and present recommendations for technical approval. Plan, organize, and lead major technical project phases, resolve complex product or process issues, and ensure integration of mechanical design elements for assigned efforts. Direct test planning and execution, evaluate results, and generate technical reports and recommendations.

Requirements

10+ years of experience in mechanical engineering.
Experience with engineering software such as CREO, Pro/E, SolidWorks, MATLAB, or ANSYS.
Experience performing engineering analyses on systems and components.
Ability to independently develop, execute, and evaluate engineering test plans.
Ability to obtain a Secret clearance.
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering.

Nice To Haves

Experience in fabrication, machining, prototyping, or subsystem assembly.
Experience leading engineering teams or providing technical mentorship to junior engineers.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including presenting detailed technical findings.
Possession of a Secret clearance.
Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
