Requirements

  • Bachelors of Science in Mechanical Engineering or similar degree
  • 7+ years of engineering experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Proven project management experience from initial planning and scope definition through delivery.
  • Experience working on and leading capital expenditures projects.
  • SolidWorks, AutoCAD, Microsoft Office
  • Able to work independently.
  • Open-minded and team-oriented personality with excellent analytical and critical thinking skills.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication abilities.
  • Must be able to work with minimum supervision, meet time sensitive deadlines, keep accurate records, work in a collaborative environment.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods of time.
  • Must be able to occasionally lift 50 lbs.

Nice To Haves

  • Familiarity with industrial facility construction is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Evaluate existing processes and equipment to improve worker safety, product quality, yields, and increase throughput.
  • Specify and procure new capital equipment for manufacturing processes. Work with manufacturing engineering and maintenance to effectively transition equipment from development and project build stage to full production stage.
  • Design and develop new manufacturing equipment and processes to meet the needs of new product requirements.
  • Support manufacturing and maintenance teams by helping to solve production issues and problems as they arise on the plant floor.
  • Design, specify, and procure tooling as required for product development projects.
  • Collaborate with product design engineering department to make incremental improvements to existing products.
  • Work with maintenance project coordinator to facilitate proper equipment preventative maintenance.
  • Work with the manufacturing team to make sure proper procedures and instructions are followed.
  • Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
