About The Position

Apply engineering physics, engineering mathematics, and materials science principles to support the design, analysis, manufacture, or maintenance of mechanical systems. Apply specific functional knowledge, including working and general industry knowledge. Develop or contribute to solutions to a variety of problems of moderate scope and complexity. Work independently with some guidance, and review or guide activities of more junior employees.

Requirements

2+ years of experience with mechanical engineering
Experience with CAD software such as SolidWorks, Creo, or Autodesk Inventor
Experience with manufacturing, systems engineering, or product lifecycle management processes
Experience with engineering testing, data analysis, and technical reporting
Knowledge of mechanical engineering principles, including statics, dynamics, thermodynamics, materials, and manufacturing processes
Knowledge of configuration management and engineering change processes
Ability to interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and technical requirements
Secret clearance
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or an Engineering field

Nice To Haves

Experience with engineering analysis tools such as MATLAB, ANSYS, or similar platforms
Experience with the decomposition of system-level requirements into subsystem and component-level requirements
Experience with the development and maintenance of engineering artifacts, technical baselines, and digital engineering products
Ability to assist with verification planning and traceability activities
