The Mechanical Engineer IV plays a key leadership role in the design and delivery of HVAC and mechanical utility systems for complex, highly regulated building projects. This position requires strong technical expertise, the ability to manage multiple priorities, and the ability to lead and coordinate the work of others across multidisciplinary teams. The Mechanical Engineer IV is responsible for overseeing the mechanical discipline scope of work and budget across all project phases and levels of complexity. The role collaborates closely with internal architects and engineers, as well as clients, construction managers, subcontractors, vendors, and manufacturers to deliver coordinated, high‑quality, and constructible designs. Typical responsibilities include work performed directly or under supervision related to site selection, master planning, load calculations, utility assessments, energy modeling, commissioning and start‑up, design reports, code evaluations, plans, P&IDs, schedules, HAZOP reviews, installation details, and equipment/system selection and specification. The Mechanical Engineer IV leads design execution across all phases, including studies, conceptual and schematic design, design development, construction documentation, and construction administration.
