About The Position

The Mechanical Engineer IV provides mechanical engineering expertise in the early stages of design. They also coordinate project design and analyze complex construction problems.

Requirements

• Minimum eight (8) years of experience in a specialized functional discipline.
• Ability to obtain and/or maintain a Security Clearance
• Experience in the design of electronic or electromechanical products

Nice To Haves

• 12 years of experience may be considered in lieu of a Bachelors Degree.
• 6 years of experience may be considered w/ a Masters Degree.
• 3 years of experience may be considered w/ a PhD.

Responsibilities

• Develop comprehensive mechanical designs with a functional understanding of the other engineering disciplines' responsibilities
• Provide technical support to project teams as required from initial design to production
• Perform advanced analyses (thermal, structural, and tolerance) without guidance
• Develop mechanical designs for new products, fabrication fixturing, and test fixturing
• Create and review engineering documentation packages
• Mentor MEIII employees by providing training on job junctions, reviewing work, and providing overall project guidance
• Provide inputs to engineering design reviews including calculations, analyses, drawings, etc. to show compliance to specifications and project objectives and standards
• Interact with customers and vendors as necessary based on project scope; makes presentations to communicate engineering findings
