About The Position

The Global Repair Factory Operations (GRFO) Engineering Team serves as the bridge between engineering innovation and sustained manufacturing. The team pilots high complexity, high IP products, creating the documentation, fixtures, tooling, BOM control, and training required to scale internal repair and new manufacturing across the global network. By solving challenges and enabling smooth transition and support, we help turn advanced technology into repeatable, production ready solutions.

Requirements

BS in Mechanical Engineering (or related).
Preferred GPA of 3.0 or above
Comfortable working hands-on with hardware and collaborating in a fast-moving environment.
Mechanical CAD & product definition: NX, GD&T, model-based design practices.
PLM / configuration control: Teamcenter, part number creation, ECO processes.
Manufacturing-minded design: tolerance stack-ups, DFM/DFA, safety, serviceability, and fixture robustness.

Nice To Haves

Experience with automation, robotic arms, end-of-arm tooling, and system integration.
Knowledge of robotics programming languages (e.g., Python, ROS)
Familiarity with PLCs, motion control, and industrial communication protocols.
Exposure to machine vision, AI/ML for optical inspection, and simulation tools.

Responsibilities

Design and release mechanical fixtures and tooling that enable safe, repeatable pilot builds/repairs and smooth handoff to production
Create and improve new documentation, training content, and mechanical build procedures for NPI/pilot products, supporting transition and post-launch support.
Partner with cross-functional SMEs (ME/EE/SW/Test/Manufacturing) to debug build issues, close gaps in legacy documentation, and standardize mechanical interfaces.
Drive engineering change discipline (parts, drawings, revisions) so pilot outcomes are scalable and auditable.
