About The Position

As a Mechanical Engineer II, you will play a key role in the design, manufacture, integration, and sustainment of mechanical sub-systems. Your contributions will directly impact the development and delivery of critical systems for our customers. In this role, you will perform technical execution of tasks related to the design, manufacture, integration, and production sustainment of mechanical sub-systems. You will recommend solutions to a wide range of complex technical problems, ensuring alignment with program objectives. You will utilize 3D CAD tools to create models and drawings for mechanical components and assemblies. You will interpret and analyze assembly and component drawings to support design and manufacturing processes. You will work collaboratively in engineering labs and on the factory floor to troubleshoot and resolve technical challenges. You will engage with suppliers to address quality issues and ensure timely delivery of components. You will support the development and maintenance of technical documentation and data packages. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to meet project timelines and deliverables.

Requirements

  • Masters degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) major obtained by start date.
  • Experience with 3D CAD tools for modeling and drawing.
  • Experience interpreting assembly and/or component drawings.
  • Experience may be obtained through on-the-job experience, research, coursework, or projects
  • Active and transferable U.S. government issued security clearance is required prior to start date.
  • U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.
  • Ability to obtain INTERIM U.S. government issued security clearance is required prior to start date

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing (GD&T) per ANSI Y14.5.
  • Proficiency in Creo (modeling and drawing) and Windchill (PDM).
  • Mechanical aptitude to provide solutions to technical problems of moderate scope and complexity.
