About The Position

As a Mechanical Engineer, you’ll leverage your strong foundation in physics, mathematics, and materials science to process and resolve mechanical problems, design and implement custom mechanical tooling and associated processes, and enable the handling, assembly, and disassembly of parts, components, sub-assemblies, and final assemblies throughout the product life cycle. You'll be responsible for designing, developing, and modifying mechanical engineering layouts, schematics, and specifications. You will oversee manufacturing and installation processes, ensuring adherence to industry standards and regulations-- and you'll coordinate the procurement and assembly of mechanical components and equipment for design projects, identifying sources of critical parts and subsystems to resolve technical issues. Requirements

  • Demonstrate strong mechanical engineering background and process hand-on mechanical and practical expertise in own discipline and basic knowledge of related disciplines
  • Possess capability to recognize the problem, diagnose the root cause, and define the scope, develop solutions; exercises judgment based on the analysis of multiple sources of information
  • Explains difficult or sensitive information; works to build consensus
  • Graduating with a Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Materials Science & Engineering, or a related field
  • Student must be in good academic standard at their university, with a preferred GPA of 3.0 or above on a 4.0 scale

Nice To Haves

  • Knowledge on Etch Chamber/ Part/ Process will be added advantage but optional.
  • Preferred background in materials and mechanical design

Responsibilities

  • Own projects and complete engineering activities with limited supervision.
  • Work with other technical & non-technical groups to understand projects/programs status, needs and strategies, direction.
  • Turn business need into engineering projects, conduct daily actions including defining gaps & problem statement, developing plans, interpreting drawings, conducting technical analysis, reviewing & processing data, creating technical documents, specifying specs, creating FA reports, SOW & SOP.
  • Interface with internal and external customers to effectively address engineering issues, discuss problems, solutions and collect feedback and make plans for next step.
  • Technically negotiate , lead and/or execute engineering projects with suppliers.
  • Problem identification and troubleshooting
