About The Position

This is a hybrid role with a minimum of 3 days on-site weekly required. As a Mechanical Engineer II, you’ll be part of our Outdoor Walk Behind team working as a hybrid employee. You’ll support new Walk Behind platforms to ensure they meet design, marketing, regulatory, quality, and cost requirements as defined by engineering and the organization. You will create new, modify existing, and/or review 3D CAD geometry and drawings. You will support senior product design team members to understand product / component design objectives and requirements. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to assist in the planning and executing of engineering builds and product testing. You will evaluate existing designs for product improvements, which may include user experience improvements, cost savings, ease of assembly, warranty reduction, and more. You will support multiple engineering projects at the same time and engage with all facets of the Product Development Process.

Requirements

  • Minimum B.S. degree in Mechanical Engineering.
  • 3+ years of experience in a related field.
  • Excellent math and analytical skills: ability to apply engineering calculations to support design work.
  • Proficiency with respect to designing in CAD applications. (CATIA Preferred).
  • Experience working with and designing various mechanisms and mechanical systems.
  • Experience designing for various manufacturing processes such as plastic injection molding, metal fabrication, stampings, die-castings, and various rapid prototype processes.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office tools (Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
