About The Position

Developing, evaluating, and validating complex electrical, mechanical, and communication systems. Reviewing build-to-print technical data, assessing system feasibility, supporting prototype and First Article Test activities, identifying risks, and contributing to reverse engineering efforts to capture critical performance and material characteristics. This position is contingent upon funding.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering or an engineering discipline, qualifying engineering disciplines include computer, electrical, electronics, mechanical, information systems, or engineering technology, no allowable degree substitutions
  • Demonstrated experience applying engineering techniques, principles, and precedents to plan, develop, design, modify, install, test, validate, or operate electrical, electronic, RF, avionics, vehicular, mechanical, communication platforms, and associated support equipment or components
  • Demonstrated experience reviewing and verifying that drawing packages from diverse sources are considered build-to-print IAW DoD and/or customer-specific standard practices
  • Demonstrated experience identifying the engineering processes and techniques required successfully complete product development and manufacturing
  • Demonstrated experience reviewing requirements to evaluate the feasibility of proposed systems, subsystems, and equipment layouts and specification parameters
  • Demonstrated experience evaluating proposed layout capabilities to meet technical, functional, mission, and operational performance requirements and assist with identifying potential risk areas and by recommending alternative solutions
  • Demonstrated experience assisting with the reverse engineering of systems or components to produce data including material properties, functional performance characteristics, loads, discrete signals, and power distributions
