About The Position

As an Engineer I in our Structural Design & Analysis Group you will perform calculations for multiple reactor components and apply the ASME Code to the design and analysis. You will report to the Director of Reactor Component Engineering and be located at Cranberry, PA and work in a hybrid capacity.

Requirements

• BS in Mechanical Engineering, (alternate degrees such as nuclear, aerospace, structural engineering with relevant experience).
• Proficiency in ANSYS Workbench and at least a familiarity with ANSYS Mechanical (APDL).
• 0 or more years of experience required.

Responsibilities

• Accomplish design and analysis plans from preliminary through final design, translating performance and structural requirements into compliant engineering solutions using lessons learned and best practices.
• Qualify component designs using ANSYS-based thermal and structural FEA, closed‑form analytical methods, and Westinghouse internal engineering codes.
• Collaborate with systems, manufacturing, and component teams to ensure subsystem integration and resolve design and production issues.
• Demonstrate technical acument, delivering high‑quality engineering work that meets safety, quality, and schedule expectations.
