About The Position

Vitesse Systems is looking for a Mechanical Engineer I to join the team in Webster, Texas! The Mechanical Engineer is responsible for designing and analyzing components and assemblies with a keen eye for structural integrity. The Mechanical Engineer will collaborate with RF Engineering and Manufacturing Engineering to deliver innovative and manufacturable products or our internal and external customers. Requirements

  • B.S. Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field
  • SolidWorks or similar CAD experience desired.
  • EPDM experience is a plus
  • Working knowledge of ERP systems is desired.
  • Vitesse Systems, LLC performs work controlled by the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and Export Administration Regulations (EAR). These statutes require the protection of technical data and products. The regulations require that such data not be disclosed in written, oral, or visual form to any foreign national without prior export authorization from the Department of State. A foreign national is defined by the U.S. Government under EAR 734.2(b)(2)(ii) and 8 USC 110 (a)(20) as one who: Is not a United States citizen Is not lawfully admitted for permanent residence in the U.S. Does not have politically protected status (embassy, refugee, or asylum)

Responsibilities

  • Design hardware based on customer specifications using SolidWorks
  • Perform static and dynamic analyses (modal, static, vibration) on designed hardware based on customer specifications using NEi Nastran and Femap
  • Create and maintain proper documentation associated with the design and analysis of the hardware
  • Support production and test of the hardware
  • Review and approve drawings using GD&T
  • Adhere to government regulations, industry standards, and internal guidelines to produce quality hardware in a quality setting
  • Participate in continuing process improvement
  • Demonstrate company core values
  • Other duties as assigned
