About The Position

At RTX, the world's largest aerospace and defense company, 185,000 great minds are united by purpose and inspired to make a difference solving the world’s most complex problems. With our three market leading businesses, world-class operations and investments in research and development, we offer capabilities and opportunity no one else can. Together, we push the boundaries of known science and find new ways to connect and protect our world. Raytheon brings the strength of more than 100 years of experience and renowned engineering expertise to meet the needs of today’s mission and stay ahead of tomorrow’s threat. We deliver solutions that help our nation and allies defend freedoms and deter aggression, creating a safer, more secure world. Join us and help shape the future of aerospace and defense. This role will support the design, analysis, integration, and testing of mechanical components and assemblies for defense and aerospace systems. Working under the guidance of experienced engineers, you will develop 3D models, drawings, and documentation using CREO. You will perform basic structural, thermal, or tolerance analyses to support hardware development. You will contribute to prototype builds, lab testing, and root-cause investigations. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams including systems, electrical, manufacturing, and quality engineering. You will participate in engineering reviews, status updates, and technical problem-solving activities. You will gain hands-on experience across the full hardware development lifecycle. You will learn best practices in mechanical design for aerospace and defense applications, fundamentals of requirements flow-down, configuration management, and design reviews. You will learn how to apply engineering analysis tools and methods to real-world problems, manufacturing processes, design-for-assembly considerations, and producibility constraints. You will learn how to operate in a collaborative engineering environment using agile tools and digital engineering workflows, and industry standards for documentation, safety, compliance, and quality.
