Mechanical Engineer, Hardware Integration - Corsair

Saronic Technologies•Austin, TX
•Onsite

About The Position

Corsair is Saronic's 24ft autonomous surface vessel, built to carry modular payloads, operate in contested waters, and launch and recover with speed not seen before. Corsair is produced at scale in Austin, TX. Every sensor, module, payload, and harness has to fit, operate, survive extreme dynamic events, and be reconfigured in minutes when a technician meets it at the pier. This role owns how Corsair's subsystems physically come together from first prototype through a design that can be built at a rate that meets the extreme demands from our customers. The hardware hits the water fast, with designs going onto a boat and into open-water testing within weeks. The engineer will own the design inside the hull, setting the layout, mounting, harnessing, and serviceability strategy for the vehicle's interior. As Corsair is a high-volume platform, design-for-manufacturing decisions compound across the fleet and production line.
