About The Position

The Mechanical Engineer will design structural, electrical, hydraulic, and plumbing systems. They will assist warranties/customer service with technical issues. The Mechanical Engineer will work with production to troubleshoot issues on the floor. Also, they will manage engineering and research & development projects as needed. All employees are required to support Rosenbauer’s Mission, Vision, and Values. The following are the essential duties of this position and do not include marginal functions that are incidental to the performance of fundamental job duties. The scope and duties of a given position may change or be temporarily altered based on the business needs of Rosenbauer.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma/GED.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering.
  • Experience with SolidWorks, Sheet Metal, Welding, and Hydraulics.
  • Knowledge in technical systems.
  • Adhere to all safety policies and procedures.
  • Good organizational and interpersonal skills.
  • Must be able to professionally work with customers and vendors.
  • Routinely read through and follow specs.
  • Able to read a tape measure accurately and precisely.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Proficient in your ability to manage multiple and diverse projects, including analytical thinking, planning, prioritization, problem solving, decision making, and carrying out assigned projects with minimal supervision.
  • Adaptable and versatile.
  • Must be able to work with SolidWorks and AutoCAD to complete job duties.
  • Be able to transfer paper to reality.
  • Able to follow verbal and written instructions.
  • Strong technical aptitude.
  • Ability to evaluate designs, to requirements, utilizing advanced analysis and computer simulations.
  • Adhere to all company policies.
  • Ability to read, reason and interpret common scientific and technical journals, financial reports and legal documents.
  • Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies or members of the business community.
  • Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference.
  • Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
  • Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions.
  • Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
  • Knowledge of SolidWorks, Microsoft Office, and AutoCAD.

  • Experience with Electrical AC & DC.
