About The Position

Eaton’s ES AMER ESS division is currently seeking a Mechanical Engineer Coils. This role is located at our Jonesville, SC site. Relocation assistance will be provided. The expected annual salary range for this role is $71000 - $105000 a year. Please note the salary information shown above is a general guideline only. Salaries are based upon candidate skills, experience, and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations. The Mechanical Engineer will provide both manufacturing support and coordination of design engineering revisions related to coils. They will own day-to-day support for North Street Operations and Quality Assurance, the first line of defense for support of timely delivery of product to the assembly plants. Communicate daily with coil winding operators, understand their pain points. In this role you will: Primary coordination of daily Design Engineering related shop questions Support implementation of material standardization across the winding department Ownership of coil winding reference standard Design Engineering support for coil design changes Key resource for plant operational support

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution. May 2026 graduates will be considered.
  • Two (2) years of experience in engineering or a science related field
  • Knowledge of coil design practices and failure modes.
  • Good oral, interpersonal and written skills with the ability to effectively communicate.
  • Detail oriented and able to manage multiple support requests simultaneously.
  • Works to deadlines with a high degree of accuracy
  • Computer knowledge and the ability to use Microsoft Office tools.
  • Ability to analyze and solve complex problems.
  • Experience working in multidisciplinary groups.
  • Ability to work with multicultural teams.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering
  • Experience working on electrical sector, power systems products
  • Experience with transformer coil winding and transformer manufacturing
  • Experience with coil winding design rules
  • Basic knowledge of lean manufacturing
  • Working knowledge of SAP ERP systems
  • Practical knowledge of phase gate Program Management processes
  • Working knowledge of ISO quality standards
