About The Position

The Mechanical Engineer 2 will be a key contributor to the Electrofill Product Group, within the Engineering Operations Team, supporting Sabre 3D products. This role is closely aligned with PG Engineering goals and objectives and works hand in hand with the Electrofill Product Management Team. The Engineering Operations team operates in a dynamic environment and is deeply engaged in numerous PG deliverables. The engineer will be part of an interactive team that offers independent areas of ownership while working within a tightly collaborative small team environment, valuing creative thinking, flexibility, and continual improvement.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field with 2+ years of experience; or an advanced degree without previous professional experience; or equivalent experience.
Proficient in 3D CAD tools such as CREO, NX, ProE.
Familiarity with SAP, iPLM, TC PLM, POA, Quickbase, Sharepoint.
Excellent communication, both written and verbal, and technical presentation skills.
Strong project organizational skills and ability to drive deliverables to completion.
Attention to detail and a drive for accuracy.

Nice To Haves

Familiarity and experience with the Sabre 3D product and POA.
Understanding of tool configurations and options, and their inter-dependencies.
Flexibility to operate in several different areas of ownership.
Being a self-driver.
Familiarity with engineering modeling software such as Creo.
Technical acumen is important, though this is not a design-intensive position.

Responsibilities

Execute NSR projects for the Sabre 3D product within the Electrofill Engineering Operations team.
Own unique and varied projects from cradle to grave.
Engage with Build Forward specials, Refurbs, and Field Upgrades, requiring knowledge of product history and configuration dependencies.
Act as a liaison with external organizations for customer specials on the manufacturing floor.
Work and collaborate with internal and external groups including PG Engineers, KATs, customer teams, Operations, Configuration Engineering, and Field Engineers.
Have extensive interaction with onshore and offshore PG Engineers.
