About The Position

M.Braun, Inc. is seeking a full-time Mechanical Drafter to join its Engineering Department. The role is responsible for finalizing project drawings and associated details before production release. The drafter creates fabrication and sub-assembly drawings for vendor quoting and purchasing, makes minor design changes to existing products, researches and specifies components and standards, prepares complete drawing packages for release, completes documentation for purchased parts, and processes department-related nonconformances when required.

Requirements

• Experience with PTC Pro-E/Creo CAD software; experience with other CAD software is considered.
• Experience creating detailed drawings for industrial machinery, including machined parts and sheet metal parts, to meet industry standards.
• Knowledge of manufacturing procedures and processes.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Strong troubleshooting skills and ability to resolve common problems.
• Professional and courteous conduct.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills and ability to maintain accurate records.
• Self-motivated and able to work efficiently with others.
• Ability to perform repetitive motions, use fine motor skills, and sit for most of the day.
• Ability to visually read documents and a computer screen.
• Mental abilities in comprehension, reasoning, decision-making, communication, and mathematics.

Nice To Haves

• Experience specifying weld callouts to AWS standards.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
• Knowledge of Adobe Acrobat.
• Certificate or diploma in a relevant field of study.

Responsibilities
