Mechanical Designer

Environmental Tectonics Corporation•Southampton, PA

About The Position

Environmental Tectonics Corporation (ETC), a growing manufacturing company, is seeking a versatile and creative Mechanical Designer with 7 to 10 years of experience to support current and upcoming production needs. The role bridges abstract concepts and physical machinery, generating ideas and working with the team to turn them into completed projects. A formal engineering degree is not required; ETC is seeking a background in industrial arts, industrial design, engineering technology, or equivalent hands-on industry experience, along with strong mechanical intuition. The Mechanical Designer will create and manage detailed Autodesk Inventor models, complex assemblies, and Bills of Materials; use 3D printing and other modeling options for prototyping and production; and collaborate with mechanical engineers to refine designs against specifications. The role also involves sourcing industrial hardware, adapting designs in response to feedback and prototype results, designing for manufacturability including GD&T, and identifying CAD or process improvements. Coding ability and deep knowledge of Autodesk Inventor's inner workings are a plus. Candidates must be a US Citizen or otherwise lawful US Resident. ETC is a VEVRAA Federal Contractor and an equal opportunity employer.
