Omni Automation LLC is seeking a Mechanical Designer of any experience level to join our Engineering team. This role offers the opportunity to work on custom conveyor and material handling systems from concept through production. You will collaborate closely with engineering, sales, and manufacturing teams to develop designs that are functional, manufacturable, and aligned with customer requirements. This position is well-suited for both early-career designers looking to build a strong technical foundation and experienced professionals seeking to contribute to complex, custom-engineered projects in a fast-paced environment. Requirements

  • Proficiency in SolidWorks for 3D modeling and drafting
  • Working knowledge of AutoCAD

  • Mechanical Design or Mechanical Engineering degree preferred, but not required
  • Equivalent experience or technical training will be considered

Responsibilities

  • Design and develop mechanical solutions for custom conveyor and material handling systems
  • Create detailed 3D models, assemblies, and drawings using SolidWorks
  • Perform design layouts and drafting to support manufacturing and assembly
  • Analyze project requirements and support feasibility and design decisions
  • Specify purchased components, materials, and hardware
  • Collaborate with engineering, project management, sales, and manufacturing teams
  • Create and maintain technical documentation, drawings, and specifications
  • Participate in design reviews, testing, and troubleshooting activities
  • Ensure designs comply with company standards, safety requirements, and industry best practices
  • Support continuous improvement and process optimization initiatives
