Mechanical Design Engineering Intern (Summer 2027)

What You Will Do Model and draft parts for private and business jet seating products, populate change notices and bills of materials, troubleshoot manufacturing improvements, and work with a dynamic cross functional team to solve problems. What You Will Learn Aerospace industry practices and standards, prioritization of tasks within a fast-paced environment, influence and collaboration skills.
Requirements
- Must be pursuing a Bachelor’s or Advanced degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or related Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) major and actively enrolled through the completion of the internship/co-op session.
- Experience with Computer Aided Design (CAD) software such as Creo, SolidWorks, NX, Catia, AutoCAD, Autodesk or equivalent
- Experience may be obtained through on-the-job experience, research, coursework, or projects.
Nice To Haves
- Experience with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and/or Outlook)
- Leadership Experience
- Experience managing projects and working on cross-functional teams
- A minimum of 60 hours of credit by the start of the internship / co-op session
- Prior RTX internship, co-op, or work experience
