About The Position

This position will be responsible for design and engineering support for manufacturing of heavy equipment and machinery. This position is a contract to possible hire role that is a long term need for my client. This role must be worked on-site.

Requirements

• Bachelors Degree in Mechanical Engineering
• 2-5 + years of experience with mechanical design
• Understanding of large equipment, custom machinery etc.
• Solidworks experience
• Knowledge of military standards

Nice To Haves

• Analysis experience with Solidworks Simulation
• Capital equipment experience

Responsibilities

• Design and engineering support for manufacturing of heavy equipment and machinery
• Design and analysis on new mechanical systems and subsystems
• Conduct feasibility studies to determine functionality and reliability
• Design of heavy structures including tooling, material selection and fabrication
• Evaluate and recommend design changes when needed
• Maintain documentation throughout project phases
