About The Position

Seeking Mechanical/Structures Engineers to join a growing robotics hardware team focused on designing the physical structure of advanced robotic systems. Engineers will work on major robotic subsystems including the head, neck, arms, legs, and base, taking early-stage requirements and developing original concepts for both static and actuated assemblies. This role requires strong mechanical design fundamentals, experience with mechanism design, and the ability to work independently in a highly collaborative, fast-paced environment. Candidates will contribute to concept generation, CAD design, packaging of electronics, and designing with manufacturability in mind.

Requirements

  • Strong mechanical design fundamentals.
  • Experience with mechanism design.
  • Ability to work independently in a highly collaborative, fast-paced environment.
  • Experience designing actuated systems, mechanisms, gear trains, and motor-driven assemblies.
  • Knowledge of motor selection and electromechanical system design.
  • Experience with machined parts and CNC manufacturing processes.
  • Ability to develop concepts from ambiguous or loosely defined requirements.
  • Understanding of Design for Manufacturability (DFM).
  • Experience packaging electronics and/or custom PCB assemblies is highly preferred.
  • Experience in robotics, automotive, medical devices, consumer products, or other complex hardware environments.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work with minimal supervision.
  • 3-5 years of experience preferred; 5+ years ideal.
