About The Position

Dematic has an immediate need for a Mechanical Design Engineer in Salt Lake City, Utah. The successful candidate must have 0-8 years of mechanical design experience. Experience with material handling equipment is a plus. Candidate should have knowledge of Siemens NX CAD/CAM software and AutoCAD software.

Requirements

• BS in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline.
• Knowledge of Strength of Materials & Fatigue Design
• Knowledge of Finite Element Analysis
• Knowledge of Machine and Mechanism Design
• Knowledge of Dynamic Analysis
• Knowledge of Hydraulic & Pneumatic Design
• Knowledge of Siemens NX
• Knowledge of AutoCAD
• 0-8 years of successful experience in related fields and successful demonstration of Key Responsibilities and Knowledge as presented above.

Nice To Haves

• Experience with material handling equipment is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Develop new concepts, create layouts, and detail designs.
• Perform in-depth engineering analysis and calculations.
• Coordinate with engineers of other disciplines to ensure a functional design.
• Supervise designers and drafters in preparation of production drawings.
• Estimate cost and design requirements for external customers.
• Support manufacturing and field installation of equipment.
• Travels up to 25% to different customer locations/Dematic locations.
